I have never in my life painted a picture, and I am completely amazed, at how, under the instruction of Elaine MacDonald that i could create something from a blank canvas. my third time last Saturday and improving while Elaine explains what to do and how the process works. Three hours extremely well spent with cake and tea. I will book again the next Saturday that comes along and please don't be afraid to try something different, started this in my early 60's....!!!!

So relaxing and meeting other people too.

Wonderful social way to pass three hours. No need to be an artist. Elaine welcomes. Everything you need is provided. At the front of the room are two canvases for all to see. One is blank, the other a completed painting. Elaine guides you through building the blank canvas…… gradually - slightly different to her original. We follow and build ours. Half way through we stop and party; tea coffee wine and cake being served by the ‘elves’. 

At the end of the session we show our take home ‘party bags’. All satisfied with our slightly different individual painting. 
A real treat. A wonderful format. 

My Mother, granddaughter and I attended Elaine's cake and paint afternoon yesterday and had a great afternoon. this is the third occasion I've been to Little Downham and would highly recommend the sessions. Everything is provided (including wine!) and Elaine has so much patience that everyone takes home a masterpiece!! Looking forward to another fun afternoon soon. Thanks Elaine X

We have been to your painting event today. I just wanted to say that we were made to feel very welcome and we had such a fantastic time. It was our first time  and we couldn’t believe we have a finished painting at the end.

We will definitely be back! 

I have attended two paint and cake classes run by Elaine, Blue Bell Wood and Dragon Flies. I attended with my two daughters and two granddaughters age 8 and 9. We all had a great time. As Elaine painted she explained every step so we could all follow along, although we all painted the same subject each painting was in our own style. The cake and wine was also very good. All materials are supplied, excellent value for money. Looking to book another class soon Chris 

To date I have attended only 2 Paint and Cake events but hope to do more in the future.

You makethese events so enjoyable; they are planned and organised so well and in such a way that everyone ends up with their own individual ‘masterpiece’ to take home!!

The subjects chosen are excellent and the company - not to mention the wine and cake of course - make for a most enjoyable afternoon.

I absolutely love the paint and cake (& wine!) sessions, and all my friends who have joined me are also hooked.  Elaine is so lovely, and with Clare and Neil they make a brilliant, friendly team. Elaine guides you through the painting, while encouraging your own creativity and I am always amazed that my finished painting at least vaguely resembles Elaine's original!! 

Painting with cake is a wonderful experience.  

It is good value for 3 hours of tuition with all the equipment and paint supplied. Plus tea, coffee, or wine with delicious cake. 

Elaine is a patient teacher explaining the process step by step. With humour and heaps of encouragement. ???? despite different people with different abilities taking part everyone leaves with a lovely completed picture.  

I would recommend it to anyone. My friend took her son (yr 6) and they both had a wonderful time.  

Your paint and cake sessions are the best. It's relaxing therapeutic and so so friendly. A lovely opportunity to meet new friends and produce a beautiful piece of art. I always look forward to the sessions and the wine!!! Xx

Love Elaine’s classes fun/friendly/relaxing and totally love this new hobby. My underwater picture is hanging on my bedroom wall !
